About the Common WombatCommon wombats look cute, cuddly and friendly but they are solitary and agressive. Mainly nocturnal. They live in burrows which can be up to 30 metres long and have several entrances. They can run at speeds up to 40 km/h over short distances (faster than a person can run). Traces: Scats are cube-shaped pellets about 2 cm across, dark-brown outside, fine green plant fragments inside, usually in piles of 4-8 in conspicuous places.
